Final Task . D – III Midwifery Study Program of Widyagama Husada Health Sciene College. Supervisors (1) : Ari Christiana , Amd . Wis , . S.KM (2) dr. Ella Nurilasari. According to the Ministry of Health in East Java Health Office 2012 causes of maternal mortality in East Java is bleeding 29.35 % , 27.27 % pre eclampsia , infection of 8.06% , 15.47 % and 21.85 % Heart disease is caused by others . The presence of factors that cause direct infection increased maternal mortality one of them does not hold aseptic technique is not done before doing vaginal vulvar hygiene during delivery assistance toucher . Based on preliminary study conducted in RSAB SITI AISYAH Probolinggo known that one midwife not to wash hands and 2 midwives do not perform vulvar vaginal hygiene before touher upon delivery assistance The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge of the application of vulva hygiene midwife before doing toucher vaginal delivery assistance at the time. This research is was correlational cross-sectional approach . Samples used were 17 respondents . Techniques used was total sampling and analyzed with Spearman Rank . Bored on the result, the value of the significance level is 0.148 > α ( 0.05 ) then H0 is accepted it indicates that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge of the application of vulvar hygiene midwife before doing toucher vaginal delivery at the time of rescue . It is advisable for researchers themselves to improve the application of current hygiene vulva aid delivery , the respondents to further improve the quality of service by applying the vulva hygiene procedures correctly .
