The procedure of mothers to breastfeed very influence the pleasant for baby when absorp milk water. Ergo, mothers should an effort to breastfeed with good and right, cause the bad absorp can be a cause of chafed nipple. Based on introduction research that ever be done in Ampeldento Pakis Malang known average 60% (6 man) breastfeed mothers with right and 40% (4 man) breastfeed wrong and 9 cause chafed nipple. And the factors that influence breastfeed mothers such as: physhiology, psychology, anatomy of breast, diet, medicines and absorp factors. Important role when mothers to breastfeed were nipple maintenance in order nipple no chafed. Chafed nipple usually happen in the first week after the baby born, and for 6 days and will disappear with it self, if mothers maintenance the breast and nipple with good and regularly.rnThe research design was Kohort Observasional analitical that purpose to analyze the relation between 2 variables were breastfeed mothers and chafed nipple. The population were all mothers who breastfeed that had baby 0-6 months in Ampeldento Pakis Malang with amount 190 responden. Sampling metode that used was simple random sampling technic with sample taking for 66 respondents. Research instrument were using chechklist and observasional with Spearman Rank Test.rnThe result of research shows that the procedure of mothers to breastfeed for 50 respondent (76%) with right criteria, while chafed nipple for 16 (24%) respondents with criteria wrong. Based Spearman Rank Statistic Test be known : there was a different between right and wrong procedure of breastfeed mothers with occuring of chafed nipple with : 0,00 < 0,05.rnSo, adviced for health institution in order to give illumination with integrated in giving information about procedure of breastfeed with good and right by leaflet and brochure, conducted in village activities like Posyandu, copulation, PKK and etc.rn
