Nutritional status when there is a balance and harmony between the physical and mental development. Growth and development of children in need of nutrients that the process of growth and development goes well. Based on the Research and Development Health, East Java Province has a number of malnutrition is high enough with the amount of 14 720 and the highest malnutrition prevalence rate of 4.8% in Java (BPPK2008). Based on preliminary studies will be undertaken by an interview on Midwives Ny. Tri Susilaningsih, Amd.Keb in get the number of children aged 2-4 years as many as 16 infants, 16 toddlers from the existing 5 infants (31.25%) were less nutritional status, of the 5 infants have 2 toddlers that specific development. This study aimed at finding out the relation between the nutritional status to the Development of children aged 2-4 years in Posyandu Melati, Baturetno Village, Dampit District, Malang Regency.rnThe method used is an analytical survey aimed to analyze the relation 2 variables: nutritional status variables and variable progression. The population used in this study were children aged 2-4 years who meet the inclusion criteria requirements totaling 16 children by using total population sampling, the samples are used as many as 16 children.rnThe results of the 16 respondents, who have less nutritional status and uncertanity development were 25%, but the children who has a normal nutritional status and normal development were 68.75%, while those with better nutritional status and development of the doubt were 6.255%. Based on the analysis of data with a statistical test shows that the Spearman rank test significance value 0.015 (smaller than α = 0.05 means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
