Indah Serinurani effendi.rnThe Infant mortality rate in Indonesia is still relatively high, one reason is the need for breastfeeding babies are not met. Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still low at 37% of the total number of maternal born. One of the reasons that there are problems or failures during breastfeeding, where the breasts are having problems such as sore nipples, mastitis and breast abscesses. Therefore, breast care is very important to avoid the problems that often occur in the breast. From the preliminary study on BPM C.Yunita.R Amd Keb contained 52 primiparous postpartum women who do not breast care.rnThe study was descriptive using a questionnaire. The sample in this study was the total population of BPM C.Yunita.R Amd Keb in June for July 2013 as many as 20 respondents.rnThe results showed that factors influencing maternal breast care postpartum be based on internal factors, knowledge factors primiparous postpartum women are at less (45%). This lack of knowledge was one of several factors affecting the interests of the most dominant factor that 95% of mothers had a considerable interest in the treatment of breast.
